Contract Award – United Airlines has awarded a contract to East Island Aviation to re-stripe
all 74 gates at their Newark Liberty International Airport hub facility.
Newark is one of the largest operations in the UAL system. This contract follows directly behind another contract for East Island Aviation to scarify the surrounding apron to minimize the risk of aircraft slipping while taxiing into their gates during de-icing in the winter months. East Island Aviation Services partnered with Dynatest and Safety Markings, Inc. to perform the on-site testing and scarification. The two contracts are valued at over $500,000.
