New for 2014! Our Ground Boarding Switchback Ramp. As many of our core clients have been adding Boeing-717 and EMB-175 aircraft to their fleet, they now have the ability to service smaller markets with exceptional economical air service. However, many of these smaller airports do not have terminals with traditional jet bridges. Our 717/175 Ground Boarding Ramp was specifically developed to service these aircraft in small market airports as well as hard stand operations for overflow parking. Our lightweight ramp is truly a one person operation just like our DASH-8 Q-Ramp ™. Not only can the ramp be maneuvered by one person, it incorporates an electro-mechanical auto-leveling system for the upper landing that operates exactly like a traditional boarding bridge. The deck can be manually or automatically adjusted to compensate for loading of fuel, passengers, cargo and/or baggage. Our ramps can be shipped anywhere around the world in a 20’ sea container. A variety of options are available to enhance the customer experience and simplify the operation for ground personal.

Breakthrough in design! Throughout the last decade we have seen many versions of ground boarding switchback ramps come to market. While all of these ramps improve the overall customer experience and enable smooth boarding of wheel chair passengers, they can often times be too heavy to maneuver into position. Our customers spoke and we listened! Unlike other motorized ramps recently brought to market, we took a different more reliable and simpler approach. East Island Aviation Services has teamed up with Crown Equipment to connect the horse to the carriage! We now offer the industry’s first “tug-driven” boarding ramp. Now agents can position our ramp in a matter of seconds or drive it from gate to gate at max speed to service multiple aircraft. Our customers have told us that ”the 717/175 ramp is the quickest and easiest ramp to position to an aircraft that they have ever seen”.
